[Online] Transformative and impactful volunteering – A vision for IVY 2026
We are pleased to invite you to our side event to the official launch of the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026) on Friday 5 December, titled ‘Transformative and Impactful Volunteering – A Vision for IVY 2026.’
Co-organised by Forum and the Volunteer Groups Alliance, the event will take place from 08:00 – 09:30 am (UTC +1) at the Idealist.org offices on 5th Avenue in New York, with options to join in person or online.
The session will highlight three major milestones for the global volunteering community:
- The State of the World’s Volunteerism Report 2026,
- The Global Volunteering Standard (Third Edition), and
- The Call to Action for the Future of Volunteering.
These initiatives show how evidence and good practice can strengthen the environment for volunteering and enhance its impact on the Sustainable Development Goals.
